i haven't made a list, but one i definitely want as a joke fight is speedrunner mario vs mokey! 2 really insane parodys of the most famous characters from different genres! also insanity. A simple, hand drawn animation at the start, going into a much more intense, possiblely anime like end! Speed runner mario probably wins, but i think it would be pretty close!

Saying that 7 is “just another Mariokart” is just straight up insulting the game. Think for a sec. 64 was the first one in 3D Double dash had the 2 racer per kart gimmick DS had retro tracks and… uh, someone more experienced with DS can add something to this. Wii added bikes, tricking, and the jew drift style 8 had anti-gravity And 7 had coins, gliders, underwater driving, and kart customisation. It is by far one of the most unique in the series. Besides, people calling it “just another Mariokart” fail to remember super circuit.

This is my second favourite DB ever (GvS3 is still peak), absolutely fantastic stuff. I choose to interpret Neo Metal being so devastating, even landing a knockout blow on Bowser for a moment, as a nod to the post where Moro (I think it was Moro, at least) said Metal would probably beat Bowser 1v1. It's just his wincons all get hard-countered by Kamek. He's come a long way since getting beaten by Zero.

Honestly, I don't really get all the consistent dislike of the N64 Toad's Turnpike remake. To the first common point that the glider ramps and antigravity sections defeat the point of the track, the tradeoff is that they're usually way slower so you can't really afford to often make use of them when playing against other skilled players. And speaking of which, dodging all the vehicles isn't always as easy as you'd think when against other good players since projectiles like shells can bounce off vehicles instead of being destroyed like in some other games, creating a deceptively high amount of chaos if you're not at the very front of the pack. And even without item frenzy, 200cc often makes the vehicles very formidable threats all by themselves (not relevant to how well it was originally designed, but it is relevant to how well it functions as a MK8DX track). Lastly, there's a neat detail where the car patterns randomly change between races and sometimes reverse the direction of traffic in the right lane, calling back to the mirror mode in MK64 without as severe of a juxtaposition just from switching modes, and also just bumping up the difficulty a decent bit in the process. But on a similar yet opposite note... Wii Moonview Highway is an utterly horrible remake of a solid special cup worthy track that retains none of the original design. DS Shroom Ridge, while its traffic was also nerfed, still retains both actual relevant hazards and an interesting core layout that's not just a simple loop. While Toad's Turnpike has just a figure-8 shape for its layout, at least its traffic is significant enough for taking optimal lines to not be a very easy task, especially in the chaos of actual races. The remake of Moonview Highway has nothing; the first obvious change is that there are far fewer cars, and some of the ones that remain are just trucks with surfboards that act as moving ramps instead of actually hindering players. However, vehicles not speeding up in the city section not only makes that part pitifully easy, but it also gathers far more of the course's remaining vehicles in that section at a given time, leaving the first section with no vehicle density whatsoever. Even worse, because the vehicles in the city don't change lanes anymore, you can just drive between the two right lanes while going around the sharp turns, guaranteeing you'll never hit a single car and making a lot of the road far more redundant than it was before. Not even the usual chaos of items can improve things because the very wide roads and frequent dash panels limit the utility of a lot of items and make races surprisingly uneventful. There are a lot of other smaller changes such as adding extra guard rails that make the track even worse, but I've rambled on long enough. It's just infuriating how little thought went into this husk of a remake and how little people seem to actually notice. It has no challenge, no valid gameplay archetype, and no conceptual reason to exist among a sea of city tracks and Wii tracks and better traffic courses... besides banger music I guess. But that's it.
